Cost and time saving benefits
The advantage of a multi layered archaeological risk assessment: all work for
the assessment is done in-house - offering clients the benefits and cost
savings provided by a single supplier.
Wardell Armstrong Archaeology is well aware of the commercial realities that developers in all sectors deal with on a daily basis and as the ultimate goal is always to save time and money the multi-disciplinary survey package has proved successful in meeting that aim.
Time and cost saving possibilities
The table below shows where, under normal circumstances there exists a potential overlap in requirements for phase 1 (desk based) and phase 2 (site based, intrusive) studies and where, if undertaken simultaneously, time and cost savings could be achieved.
When intrusive site works are required for archaeological and geological/geotechnical purposes, prior consultation with the ecological representative would normally be a prerequisite.
