Working closely with the local planning archaeologist, the architect and developer, the Wardell Armstrong Archaeology project manager was able to mitigate further works in this area and the planning conditions were discharged.

Cost-effective co-ordination of the archaeological fieldwork allowed the client to present new archaeological data to Carlisle City Council without the need for digging trenches into the carpark.
